As with all pod machines you load the pod via an opening on the top and drop it in place. The machine pierces the capsule before closing it in such a way that when you lift the lever, the pod falls into a specially spent pod tray that is located beneath the drip tray.
The machine is not the fastest way to make espresso, it takes 30 seconds for one shot and 90 seconds for the lungo. However, the results are always impressive with a rich, smooth taste and a delicious crema. The machine will also notify you when it's time to refill the water tank or pod bin.

The machines aren't quite as intuitive as our other choices. For instance the lid opens only when the machine is in its final stages, and it takes about 30 minutes to heat up enough to allow it to be put into the capsule.
